At Mr Meat Man, being part of the community means more than simply doing a job well. It means looking for practical ways to help, support local people and make good use of what is available.
One of the ways we do this is through Hunt for Good, a New Zealand initiative that connects donated meat with families and community groups who can put it to good use.
Our role is to make sure donated game and meat is processed properly and prepared to a high standard.
We take care of the butchering, mincing and packing so the meat is ready for volunteers to collect and distribute where it is needed.
It is a practical contribution that fits naturally with what we do every day.

Hunt for Good volunteers collect the boxes and deliver them to people who need them most.
Our involvement does not stop there. Mr Meat Man also supports local schools, hunting events and other community initiatives throughout the region.
For Bruce, it is simply about backing the people and organisations around him and playing a small part in keeping the local community strong.
